Our Beliefs
Core Values

The Scripture is our final authority.  We will always go to the Bible to look for answers.  Where the Bible is silent there is freedom.  Where the Bible speaks, we will speak.

The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul.  The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.  Psalm 19:7 NIV

We build kingdom-minded disciples.  We will keep God’s kingdom as the first priority.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Matthew 6:33 NIV

We live authentically in our community.  We will be the same at the church as we are in our community.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.  Matthew 5:16 NIV

We have an attitude of worship.  We will honor God in everything we do and be grateful for all He has done.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.  Psalm 100:2 NIV

We actively strive to be culturally relevant and engaging.  We will show that living by God’s word is still the best way to live.

When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some.         1 Corinthians 9:22 NIV

The Bible is the inspired word of God without error.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness...  2 Timothy 3:16 NIV

We believe in the New Testament church as established by the teachings of Jesus and His apostles.

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.  Ephesians 2:19-20 NIV

We believe that through the grace that came with Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have the hope of spending eternity with Him.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16 NIV

We believe that to receive this grace we must be obedient to the teachings of Jesus:

  • Believe - to acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God and that He is your only hope of eternal life.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.  Mark 16:16 NIV

  • Repent - to change the way you live your life; to do a 180 degree turn.

I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.  Luke 13:3 NIV

  • Confess - to publicly acknowledge that Jesus is Lord and died for your sins.

Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.  Matthew 10:32 NIV

  • Baptism - to be immersed into water as a symbol of having your sins washed away and to reflect the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.  John 3:5 NIV
