Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • God is the beginning and ruler of everything.

God is eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, and ever present - existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The three are one and coequal.

  • God the Father is holy, loving and just.

God loves perfectly, and is a truly good father. The Father’s character shows people how to live

and have the best results. Anything different from His character is called sin, and is something He

cannot tolerate. Sin creates separation from God.

  • Jesus is the only Son of God.

Jesus has always been with the Father. He lived a brief, fully human life on earth, and did so

completely without sin. He bore the sin of humanity through his death, burial, and resurrection.

He will return to earth to reign as eternal King. His sacrifice satisfied the debt of humanity's sin.

  • The Holy Spirit lives in followers of Christ.

He is coequal with the Father and Son. Sent by the Son to draw people to convict people of their

sin and draw them to Jesus. He empowers Christ-followers with spiritual gifts and leads them to

    truth.

  • The Bible is God’s word to us.

It consists of 66 books, written by more than 40 human authors, over a span of more than 1500

years, through the power of the Holy Spirit. It has no errors and is the source of truth for Christian

    belief and living.

  • Human beings are made in God’s spiritual image but have been separated from God by sin.

People have been created for a relationship with God and each other. Those relationships have

been corrupted by sin. Every person is uniquely created to reflect the image of God and is worthy

    of respect and dignity.

  • Humanity has been rescued from sin’s eternal judgment.

God gives salvation freely, but we have to accept it by turning away from our self-ruled life and

following Jesus. Through our confession of Jesus as Lord and King and our water baptism we will

begin to experience renewal in this life that leads to eternal life in God’s Kingdom. Hell is eternal separation from God and will be experienced by those who deny God.

  • The Church is the living body of Christ.

Every follower of Christ (or disciple) has a place in the Church and is called into community in both

the local and global Church. Each serves as a unique and distinct part, made to function in

unity. Each disciple’s most important role is making disciple-makers.
